Banner and Poster Competition
We are happy to announce the winner of our banner and design competition! After receiving several creative and inspiring entries, we have selected the design for ESWW 2025 in Umeå.
Congratulations to Sara Lundström for her outstanding banner design, which beautifully represents Umeå region vibes including scientific field work. We also want to congratulate Chanud Sithipreedanant and Frida Folkesson Ragnebrandt for their second and third place in the contest, respectively. Thank you to everyone who participated and shared their artistic talents with us. All submitted designs and authors, who agree to be exposed in public will be exhibited at the conference in Umeå.
The artist’s words
"My name is Sara Lundström, I am 23 years old and I am currently studying physics at Umeå University, Sweden. I am a self-taught artist and a freelance creator. My two greatest passions in life are space and art, so submitting an artwork for the European Space Weather Week felt like a no-brainer. Since the event is being hosted in Umeå and the theme centered around the technological expansion of the arctic, I knew that I had to include the breathtaking northern lights. "
